Getting a new puppy is an exciting time, and you just want to spend every moment bonding and playing with your new fluff ball. However, it is not all fun and games. Puppyhood is one of the most challenging times for dog parents as puppies require a lot of time and attention from their new owners. They need mental stimulation and lots of playtime and shouldn’t be left on their own for too long. A bored pup can easily become distressed on their own, especially since their biggest source of entertainment and fun (you!) can’t always be around. No matter how tempting the idea of going sick and spending the day playing with your new furry friend might be, it is simply not realistic -there is all that dog food to pay for after all! Unfortunately, leaving a puppy alone while at work is no fun for anyone – neither for you nor your new fur baby.

My Scottie's Dogs reliable puppy visit service provides peace of mind that your new puppy isn’t left alone all day while you are not there. I pop in and visit your new bundle of joy and give him/her lots of love and attention……..and toilet breaks! I put down food, provide clean water, let them out for a sniff in the garden and play with them. If I discover any unfortunate accidents around, I clean these up too before you come home. My puppy visits are flexible and can be arranged whenever you require them. I recommend two to three visits per day as puppies need plenty of toilet breaks and time to play. Playing and interacting with your puppy helps with their socialisation and assists them for when they take their first steps into the big wide world beyond your back garden.
When your puppy is old enough, they can be taken for walks. My dog walking service would introduce them to individual short walks to start, and when they are ready, they can then be gradually socialised with other suitable dogs as part of my group walks. |
